Electronic Frontier Alliance (EFA) Videoconferences are an opportunity for local grassroots groups to share their work, offer mutual support, and participate in exclusive talks and workshops on digital rights issues.
These events are only open to EFA member groups, but membership is open to applications for qualifying groups.
EFA Video Conference: Op-Eds for Advocacy
This month we’ll be joined by EFF's Media Relations Director Josh Richman to guide local advocates on how to get their message to a wider audience through effective Op-Eds. These opinion pieces and letters to the editor can directly sway public opinion on your issues and reach a new audience, along with helping build your relationships with local press outlets and the journalists most likely to cover your issue. However, to realize these benefits, you need to know how to pitch your piece and find the right outlet. Allies are encouraged to come and share their experiences using Op-Eds, or examples they have found effective.
Note: This will be the only EFA video conference this month.
