ReThink LinkNYC a local organization in the Electronic Frontier Alliance (not EFF) will participate in this event:

Hack Back Web Series Premiere

Written and directed by Messiah Rhodes, associate producer at VICE, Hack Back chronicles the lives of three people, living with pangs of alienation, loneliness, and the struggle found in a life filled with tenuous low wage employment. Our (anti)heroes are led into a cyber underworld through encrypted messages and promises of vast fortunes.

The series is designed to demystify digital security in a subliminal and fun way, teaching audiences both the importance and ease of use.

Screening of the first three episodes will be followed by a panel discussion with writer/director Messiah Rhodes and members of ReThink LinkNYC, a grassroots organization in the Electronic Frontier Alliance.
