Belgrade, Serbia

Katitza Rodriguez, EFF's International Rights Director, will speak at the SHARE Conference in Belgrade, Serbia on April 28.

SHARE will bring together more than 2,000 activists, bloggers, engineers, programmers and artists from Serbia and internationally, for three days of lectures, workshops and meetings at Belgrade's Dom Omladine. Now in its second year, the conference was founded by many of the young activists who started the instrumental student campaign in 2000 to resist the Milošević regime.

Lectures will be given by leading international stars in the field of Internet activism and social changes, cyber dissidents, and world-class bloggers who will educate the audience on new forms of activism and approaches in the use of new media and advanced technologies. Discussions will delve deep into the underground of the Internet movement and explore groups that fight for digital rights, protecting the privacy of fellow residents.

Katitza will be speaking about how U.S. cybersecurity policies such as CISPA (the Cyber Intelligence Sharing and Protecting Act) -- which you can oppose by joining EFF's campaign to Stop Cyber Spying -- can have implications for citizens' privacy rights around the world.
